Meet our Hospital Staff!

KRYSTA SMITH, Veterinary Assistant 

Krysta has worked at Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital since August of 2005.  Born and raised in the Duvall/Carnation area, she was home-schooled from kindergarten through the end of high school.  She has always had a passion for animals and spent many years in 4-H, competing with her 2 horses, Josh and Tessa, whom she still has and rides as often as possible.  This love for animals is what makes working at Cherry Valley Veterinary Hospital such a good fit.  She enjoys assisting in the care of the animals that come in, and learning from various cases.  When not at work, she likes to be outside riding, walking with her dog Ranger, or reading and doing many types of puzzles.

MELISSA STEINMETZ, Veterinary Assistant 

Melissa has been with us at Cherry Valley Veterinary since October 2008.  She graduated from Western Washington University in Bellingham with a degree in Biology and hopes to go onto veterinary school in the near future.  In her spare time Melissa volunteers at the wildlife rehabilitation center at PAWS and enjoys hiking, birding, reading, and crafting.  She also loves to travel and just recently return from a trip to Egypt.  She shares her home with her cat, Sputnik, and a beta fish, Fishy-Fish.
